Glam 30's Style

I post a lot about the 1950's, and I admit it is my favorite decade for fashion.  But when it comes to glam no decade did it better than the 1930's. People were looking for an escape from the depression and the war in Europe.  Hollywood was all to happy to oblige.  Extravagant movies with gorgeous dresses were the norm.  Here are just a few. Ladies Who Lunch

I love vintage fashion.  I especially love how back in the day ladies took dressing seriously.  Women dressed a certain way for everything shopping, staying in, an evening out and lunch.  A lunch with the girls or a luncheon was a special event.  Women went all out.  No jeans and tee for them.  Dress, heels, hat and gloves. The kids looked their best too!   Dressing up made an ordinary event an occasion. Something we're missing today.  Here are some Ladies dressed for lunch.  Enjoy!
